  1. I suspect I have ADD. Can you take LT03 without a diagnosis? would like to get rid of that procrastination, feeling of frustration from that procrastination etc.

  2. Methylphenidate works for me, but gives me nasty palpitations, nervousness and chest pressure.
Dexamphetamine makes me nervous, depressed and turns my focus inwards.
Now I take Welbutrin (bupropion) which works well to regulate my emotions and does not cause any unpleasant side effects for me. Can I also take LTO3 for my concentration or will I then have to stop/meditate the Welbutrin?

    1. Hi Hilde,
It is always advised to check with your doctor.
That said, LTO3 can be taken alongside this medication without any problems. It is recommended to leave an hour between taking the medication and LTO3.

  3. I have been taking dexamphetamine since 15 days
    Before that, I spent years
Swallowed antidepresivia for nearly 29 years
But for the last eight years, my body has been very responsive to medication
I have just been diagnosed with ADHD whether it is really so
    Haven't really decided yet
But from the 3rd day I felt worse and worse
I just wasn't,,Me anymore,,, I had a lot of crying fits before that and was very gloomy
Then again, I am in transition and hormones are also turning my life upside down
I am a very emotional person and hsp
I have also been taking alprazolam for years but never merr than two tablets
I wanted to get rid of that too but now I can't do that at all
    The rebounds are terrible
I haven't known fear and panic in years
But since I have been taking dexamphetamine I have been having one panic attack after another
I don't want to continue with this
I have never felt so bad
I would so love to try this remedy
But I don't dare stop the alprazolam and can't
    Then things really go wrong
    But now my question is
Can alprazolam be taken alongside this until it catches on (I hope) and when I am calmer start tapering off with that?
    I would love to hear
    Gr annoeska

    1. Hi Annoeska, LTO3 can be used safely alongside Alprazolam as a supplement. It is wise to leave an hour between intake. It is also always advised to consult with a doctor. Never experiment with tapering medication yourself.

  4. I am hsp. and a lot of restlessness in my body in the morning. I have been taking lto3 since 4dg now... I do experience that I am much less busy in my head. I take 2 in the morning.
Now I have been taking diazepam for years for anxiety and restlessness, is this safe to combine? After some time I would like to get off the diazepam.

  5. I have been taking your LTO-3 for a while but now I read on sites that the way I take it may not be optimal and I have questions about that, below you can see the answers also from 1 of the biggest sellers Lucovitaal and I don't find that satisfactory and in my opinion also incorrect hence I am getting a second opinion from you because I want to achieve the maximum result for myself too :

    - 1 I take in the morning 10 min before my breakfast with small glass of water > I read that you should take with min 300 ml glass of water

    Answer: yes perfectly

-2 I eat 500g of SKYR after 10 minutes > I read that it is better not to combine with dairy so soon after (maybe later in the day)

A: No it doesn't matter as much you then eat

    - 3 I read that use sunflower oil (Omega 6, evening cooking) can interfere with omega 3 absorption

A: This is neither known to us nor scientifically proven. Therefore, what you write is not the case

    - 4 I always break the contents, don't want to ingest all that "plastic" > I read other brands have a no taste version to break and only use the contents.

Answer: The capsules are made of beef and have no function as only easy swallowing . you may discard the capsule and also only take the contents on food.

    1. Hi Andre,
You write that you are in touch with Lucovitaal. This is a different product and they do not have the professional knowledge regarding LTO3 from Herb-e-Concept that SmartVital provides. For the original LTO3, you can here at SmartVital.
They have 15 years of experience with LTO3 and can guide and advise you further. The effect of the original LTO3, of which you can see a picture here on the page, cannot be compared to Lucovitaal's either.
Taking it 10 minutes before breakfast is fine, but it's better not to consume dairy after that. So wait a while with that. Question 3 is not known to me, this would be best at SmartVital can put down.
The capsules of the original LTO3 are made of Pullulan. These are plantbased, vegan. Here you can read more about it at the bottom of SmartVital's LTO3 product page.

  6. My children have been using lto for 8 years... now they always wait at least 10 min after taking breakfast... now I pas that with sugar they have to wait at least an hour... does that only apply with added sugars? They get alpro Soy milk banana mixed with brinta in the morning.... tis actually impossible to wait an hour....grt Heidi

    1. Hi Heidi,
It's more of a general indication. There are plenty of people who indicate that LTO3 recently ingested sugar works just fine for them. Should the effect not be optimal, you could look into omitting the intake of sugar. These are added sugars. Naturally occurring sugars have a less direct influence.

  7. Dear Jochem,
Later in life( 50 years old), I was diagnosed with ADHD and put on medication for it.
After a long period with the psychologist to get the various handles and determine the right composition of medication, I have been out of treatment for 3.5 years.
Since I want to take less or no chemical medication, I started looking for substitutes for my medication.
    My medication is as follows:
morning 1 piece Santoz methylphenidate 54mg
12-13 hrs 1 piece of Santoz methylphenidate 36 mg
evening before bed 1 Wellbutrin bupropion hydrochloride 300mg

My question to you is what you can recommend to my to replace the above medication.
And does your LTO3 also fall under alternative medication?
If you could also email me your advice in a personal message, I would be very grateful.
    Sincerely,
    Hans

    1. Hi Hans,
We cannot give medical advice. You should never just stop taking medication without consulting a doctor. You may then be able to gradually taper off and supplement with LTO3. You may notice that LTO3 makes you feel better and less dependent on medication. You can just keep the dose of 3 LTO3 capsules on an empty stomach in the morning.
      Strength and success.

  8. I have a thyroid gland that works too slowly . Get medication for this! ADD myself and now that I am getting a bit older I am experiencing a lot of trouble with my ADD. Can I use LTO 3 in combination with my Thyrax?
    Kind regards
    Bear

    1. hi Bear, I also suffered from a slow-acting thyroid. when I became vegan, I was allowed to take less and less medication and I no longer take medication at all now. if you want to get rid of your slow-acting thyroid, a plant-based diet might be worth a try.

  9. Best,

Now 23 and have been taking lto3 for almost half a year due to the information on this page. I started at VWO and got only nines and eights. Later in puberty, I had enormous trouble finishing things, keeping my concentration and finding motivation for literally everything in my life. After eight years, I finally got my diploma and then started three follow-up studies but never finished them. Not just school but also normal things like learning to play the piano, reading books, starting a business, new sports etc. I started it but couldn't find strength anywhere to finish it. Also got addicted to weed and gambling in the meantime and felt like a huge dork. I didn't understand why nothing worked for me even though I'm not stupid or incapable. It gives you a very low self-image. Through research, it came out that I have ADD. Because past experiences have made me sceptical about pharmaceuticals, I started taking LTO3. It has helped me tremendously in just six months!

I need less 'kicks' to feel good so have been able to stop gambling and have less need to create peace in my head so I hardly smoke cannabis anymore. Passed my propaedeutic year for the first time, I have peace in my head, can sleep well, finish things and can now plan several months ahead. Before, I couldn't even plan a week ahead. According to those around me, I am more engaged and less absent-minded and am super motivated for the future again. Above all, the constant thought chaos in my head has diminished so I can now think calmly and regain control of myself. I never arrive late anymore, forget almost nothing and have become a morning person again. I could go on and on about the postive effects LTO3 has had on me.

Thanks for the information on this site, my life has drastically improved because of it!

  10. For my 2-year-old and 5-month-old son, I am thinking of giving him LT03 as it might help with concentration problems. Now I read that this can be used from the age of 3. On what basis is this? Based on weight? (This is with down medication I know) also he has a lot of trouble falling asleep at night. Suppose he should be allowed 1 capsule a day can I also divide this into 2 parts so he can sleep better? (E.g. use the no taste version)

    1. It's best to start with 1 capsule for a while. If necessary, supplement this to 2 capsules. The dosage of LTO3 goes by body weight.
Children up to 45 kg: 2 capsules.
Adults and children over 45 kg: 3 capsules.
Take at least 10 minutes before breakfast.

  11. Hi Jochem

Question, how is it possible that this drug makes you brighter and more allergenic but is also suitable against bad sleep?

    Kind regards
    D

    1. Hi,
Good question! Funnily enough, never had before so a good opportunity to explain.
It sounds contradictory but it is actually quite explainable.
LTO3 provides relaxation and calmness in the mind. Because your thoughts are better aligned and less violently criss-crossed, you can concentrate better during the day. You feel calmer and more alert at the same time.
However, in the evening when people get tired, your body produces melatonin to help you fall asleep. This process can be disrupted when your mind is still very busy. Worrying, spinning and thinking a lot then make it difficult to fall asleep.
With LTO3, there is room for the body and mind to relax. The many thoughts diminish allowing the process of falling asleep to start properly.
Hope it's a bit clearer that way.
      Greetings,
      Jochem

      1. Hi Jochem,
So what is the best medication to get a good night's sleep even at night. I always wake up after a few hours and then find it difficult to fall asleep again. I cannot lie still then and often turn over because I experience restlessness in my body. I also cannot turn off my thoughts on 1 or more subjects. Would you advise me to take 3 pills in the morning and the same in the evening before going to bed? A bottle like that does empty quickly. Or is it wiser to only take the pills in the evening because I don't read anything about that.
        Greetings,
        Ronald

        1. Hi ronald,
For evening effects, it is best to take the LTO3 1 hour before you go to sleep. Sometimes 1 capsule can be enough. Take a look at question 4 for further information > https://www.addkenmerken.net/lto3/#4-lto3-dosering-en-wanneer-innemen-en-wanneer-om-beter-te-slapen.
What is important for a good night's sleep is not to be very busy with all kinds of things before going to bed. Being busy on your phone or computer is certainly not conducive to sleep either. Your head will be so busy and hyped and your nervous system may still be stiff with adrenaline if you are very busy. It can then take hours to fall asleep.
For further sleep tips for ADHD and ADD you can also here watch.
          Greetings Jochem.

  12. Hello Jochem,

I've pretty much browsed the LTO3 section of your site by now but I don't come across the answer to my question directly so hence an email:

My 10-year-old son has been taking LTO3 for ADHD/ASS for over a week. He is very enthusiastic, says he feels calmer in his head. Very nice of course, but in our eyes he seems much busier. He really bounces around in all directions at night and is difficult to 'get on with', complains of headaches and fatigue. I therefore gave him an extra pill in the afternoon today, but it seemed to get worse rather than better.

I am now thinking of putting him on 1 capsule a day. Or should we continue longer with 2 or 3 capsules? What do you think about this?

    Many thanks in advance! P.

    1. Hi,
Good for your son that he says he feels better with the LTO3, but it sounds like you are not there yet. Sometimes, in the beginning, certain symptoms can worsen. This does indicate that the LTO3 is taking effect and doing its job. In most cases, you will then reap the benefits later.

Especially with highly sensitive people, it is better to start with a low dose and build that up. I would also try that in the case of ASD if you experience such symptoms.

You indicate that he seems very busy in the evening. The LTO3 only works for 8-12 hours, so for an evening effect, you will also be able to give a capsule at the end of the afternoon.

My advice is what you yourself indicated. Switch to 1 capsule for a while and see how that goes. Once you have that stable you can slowly build up.
In addition, I would also contact SmartVital. They are the official distributor and have the experience and expertise to help you properly.
Good luck with it and all the best.
      Greetings Jochem

    1. Hi Pascale, you take the capsules in the morning at least 10 minutes before breakfast.
Sometimes building up is recommended for highly sensitive people because they can react more sensitively to the effect. Then you can start with 1 or 2 capsules and slowly build up to 3 capsules.
Also take a look here where it is clearly explained again > https://www.addkenmerken.net/lto3/#14–4-lto3-dosering-en-wanneer-innemen-
      Good luck.
      Greetings,
      Jochem

  13. Dear jochem, my daughter, has ADD, 18 years old has been taking concerta 36 mg ...in the holidays she stops this but at school she really needs it. She is doing the Military nursing course, and in the final year she is not allowed to have concerta or any form of methylphenidate in her blood, They are tested for this every 3 months. I have read everything above but what about LTO3....
It would be great if we could replace t so she can stay focused though

    1. Hi Ingrid,
If you are no longer allowed to take medication covered by the Opium Act in that year, then you could indeed try LTO3 as an alternative.
You can safely use that. You don't have to worry that it will give a bad blood result.
      Good luck.
      Greetings,
      Jochem.

  14. Hello, how will I use this for insomnia/sleep problems? How many capsules and when to take them? I am currently still taking oxzazepam every night and want to reduce it through lto3, is that possible? Can I take this at the same time at all?

    1. Hi Ilse, you can then take the LTO3 about an hour before bedtime. You can also try what you like best to take them earlier. You can take medication alongside it but it's always good to check with your doctor.

  15. Hi Jochem, I am now using 2.5 weel LTO3 in the morning about 10 min before eating. I don't notice a real transition after 40 min as other people describe but I do feel a bit calmer. What does bother me is that I am getting more stimuli in which I get unbalanced. It's as if my protective drowsiness from the seroxat is gone and I react much more violently. Especially the last week this has started and today really hit rock bottom with a crying fit.
Are these familiar symptoms? Do other people recognise this? Is it wise to maybe increase the Seroxat again anyway? What is your take on this, Jochem?

    1. Hello Els,
I do not know your situation but it is definitely not advisable to go off medication on your own. This may well be medication that you need to taper off very slowly to avoid withdrawal symptoms. It is best to consult with your doctor. You could also take an extra capsule of lto3 for an extra relaxing effect.

  16. Hi, I have a rather extreme form of seafood allergy. Could I use this product without going off my feet? I know that most fish oil supplements are safe for people with such allergies since there are no more fish proteins in supplements. What about fish roe? Is that from seafood? Regards, Layla

  17. Hello Jochem,

We have been on the LTO3 against ADD for six months now. It still seems to be working, although with young children that is sometimes hard to be sure.
What we find tricky is sugar- and dairy-free breakfasts. Are substitute sugars all allowed? Corn syrup doesn't seem to me... And is lactose-free milk allowed?

    Greetings, Sandra

  18. good morning i bought lto3 no taste a while back but still haven't used it.my daughter can't swallow the capsule.normally i give her medication with a spoonful of danoon but lto3 should not be taken with a milk product nor with apple sauce. can i put it in her drink?
    greetings rosita

  19. Hey,

    my question !
Is LTO3 addiction-sensitive? So that you give up feeling that if you don't take it for a while you fall back into your old feelings or habits or the like? Or is it made so that you can take it without any harm, Because it sometimes happens that you then try a while without your medicine to see if you don't need it anymore but then you find that you become dependent on a medicine.
And what I was also curious about, whether it does anything to your hormones and does anything negative inside your body?

    Am curious!

    Kind regards
    Jimmy van der Lee,

    1. Hi Jimmy,
It is a very safe supplement and is not addictive.
There is no evidence anywhere that LTO3 negatively affects your hormones.
LTO3 has been used in Canada for over 15 years with no complications or contraindications with other drugs or agents.

      Greetings Jochem

  20. Hello Jochem,

I'm thinking of trying LTO3, anxiety/panic attacks, and currently chaotic in head/body.
But can I take this together with my thyroid tablet in the morning? Because t thyroid tablet should also be taken before breakfast,on an empty stomach.

    Hope to hear from you.

    Greetings Lise

    1. I also have to take mine in the morning thyrox before breakfast, after half an hour you can have breakfast... so 10 min before breakfast take the 2 or 3 capsules I think, that's how I'm going to do it, I have a thyroid that works too slowly

  21. My daughter is very strict vegetarian so she definitely does not want to try lto3 because of the fish oil.
The omega 3 fatty acids are also in seaweed, right?
Can these pills also be formulated to be acceptable to vegetarians?
My son has had good experiences with lto3 and I would sooooo like to get my daughter off Ritalin.

    1. Hi Akkelies,
I can't answer that, unfortunately. You would have to SmartVital could ask but unfortunately I don't think so. The fish oil is of a very high quality (Sementis) This contains a range of all sorts of good substances including minerals and vitamins. If they can find something to match this then maybe they could but LTO3 just seems to work very well in its current form.
How nice that lto3 is helping your son so well.
      Good luck with it.

      Greetings Jochem.

  22. Hi Jochem,
My 14-year-old son has pdd-nos and is now (4 wkn) taking concerta aka methylphenidate 18 mg. That's the lowest dose I've been told. I'm against medication anyway, but if your son tells you that you feel very unhappy because he can't concentrate at school, at some point you will change your mind.

My question is, can it really match lto3 with concerta? I am a bit scared because my son has just started medication. Suppose lto3 doesn't catch on. I don't want to go back to a medication then.

Another question is: What is your expertise in this? So how do you come by this natural product? What have you experienced? I assume you speak from experience?

I'd love to hear from you!

    Thank you kindly in advance!

    Sincerely,
    Serap

    1. Hi Serap,

Hearing it this way, I would now continue the concerta first. It is also not pleasant to jump from one thing to another. You can always try lto3, which could also be used alongside it. Discuss this with your doctor as well.
SmartVital, the supplier of lto3, can guide you well in finding the right lto3 dosage and possibly tapering medication.
Lto3 provides positive improvements in quality of life for a large group of people. There are people who have stopped medication altogether thanks to lto3, but there are also people who swear by medication and prefer it. In general, I think medication works a lot stronger. Whether lto3 can match this is something you will have to try out for yourself. When I took concerta, it made me feel very agitated and really under the influence of something. For me, the advantages did not outweigh the disadvantages, but this is a personal issue that can be different for each person. With lto3, I didn't have that. That feels a bit more subtle.
Hope you can do something with this.
      Greetings Jochem

  23. Best,
For years, my 21-year-old son has suffered from concentration problems, lack of initiative, problems with planning, etc. A few months ago, he suffered a psychosis and is now taking 15 mg of abilify. The psychosis has disappeared because of this and his mood has also improved but the problems he had before are still there and perhaps even stronger. Is it possible and safe to take LTO 3 with his antipsychotics and, if so, what daily dose?
Thank you in advance for your response.

    1. Hi Elly,
I am not a doctor so be careful what I say. What I can say is that in 12 years of using lto3 in canada, contraindications with other drugs or agents have never come to light.
But I advise you to check with the supplier Smartvital > SmartVital They can give you good help with it.
      Greetings Jochem.

  24. Hello,
I have been using Lto 3 for about 1 year now. Mainly for my ADHD. Swallow 3 a day. It works positively for me. But have a question about it; Could it be that your body gets used to LTO 3 and so you no longer feel any effects? And therefore have to increase the dosage per day the longer you use it?

    1. Hi Dylan, it may well be in some cases that after a very long period you can increase the dose by 1 supplement for better results but often it turns out that the positive result is there but you just get used to it. This then becomes your new normal and it no longer feels like euphoria. But if you then compare with before you took lto3, there is a huge difference.
Usually, people notice when they stop taking it for a few days. The symptoms often come back that way.

  25. Hello, I started taking the lto 5 days ago, initially 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening, but for the last 2 days only 1 in the morning, because I was experiencing too many side effects. And these are still there. Dizzy, headache, feeling thin in my head. And especially very tired. How long does the body need adjustment time? I did expect some side effects, because I am very sensitive, but I didn't expect this and it makes me doubt whether to continue, because I can't function like this...

    1. Hi Inge, that's pretty intense and I haven't heard of it before. Yes my recommendation would really be to go through that but of course I can't and won't force you. My best advice would be to contact smartvital They can give you professional guidance on how to use lto3.

  26. Hello Jochem,

Could it also be that you get really tired and sleep a lot more because of LTO3. This is the 2nd day my son is taking 2 tablets a day and he sleeps remarkably much. He is 20 years old and weighs 70 kg.

    1. Hi Roos, that could very well be the case and is probably temporary. The body has to get used to it for a while. Often it is only good if you experience some side effects in the beginning so that the effect is very good later on. Greetings Jochem.

  27. Do you know if lto3 has similar effects to Dong quai?
Or could/should I use it in addition to each other?
Or is that too much of a good thing?

    1. Hi Geraldine, I don't know that but you could try them side by side. I would recommend trying just the lto3 first, though. If that works enough, you won't have to spend more money unnecessarily. Later you can always try a combination with something else.

  28. Best,
If I were to print out all the above, I expect metres and metres of paper to come out of my printer. Everywhere repetition of the product's name and acclaim, somewhere in between all those lines I have come across the word glitcross, but other than that it remains in vagueness of that actually three key soaps do the job and enter into a synergy, `but WHICH substances." ?
Nowhere does the acclaim become concrete.
    Every reason for suspicion, then!

    Happy to provide substantive response,
    Kind regards,
    Miriam Wuisman

    1. Hi Miriam, I wouldn't print it out either ;) It is a lot of information because I give as many answers as possible to frequently asked questions. Under item 17 you can see in detail all the information about the ingredients and their composition. If you knew how many people have already improved their lives because of lto3, you would understand why I give so much information about it. Too bad you are getting suspicious, there is really no need. Lto3 just works tremendously well for a lot of people.
      Greetings Jochem.

  29. Hello,

Can lto 3 also be used in combination with aripiprazole 2 mg daily in a 6-year-old child? If yes, when and how long in a row?

      1. Hello I started lto extra forte today
        Omega 3-6
        L-Thea ine
        Blue shieldwort
        Gingko biloba
        I spat terribly
Am nauseous and chest pain and feeling not in this world
I take 1 capsule in the morning, because I know my body always reacts violently to change
Should I go ahead with it?
Do more people have such a reaction?

        1. Hi Bep,
How hugely annoying for you. The best advice I can give you is to take the Original LTO3 from SmartVital buy that you here can order. In fact, there are companies coming up with copies in the market. These are products with the names ltod3 and lto+ extra forte. I have been told by several people that these copies did not produce results. As far as I have heard, these are illegal copies because LTO3 is a protected product with an intellectual passport. Therefore, it is likely that the copy products will disappear from the market during next year.
So don't be fooled Bep. These copies do not apply the same high-quality standard that SmartVital applies and the ingredients are of a much lower quality. SmartVital uses purely pure and natural ingredients made according to GMP standards that guarantee the highest possible quality and safety.
Hopefully, with LTO3, you will have a bit more success.
          Greetings Jochem.

  30. Hi Jochem,

I have been using it for 2 weeks now and notice something special:
My pimples on my chin disappear. I always get pimples there as soon as I suffer from stress and nervousness (unfortunately very prone to it). I am under tremendous pressure at my new job and should literally be under now.
Could this be related to the LT03?

I do not yet notice that I am calmer, but I do experience less stress. Those stomach aches, restlessness and constant nervous feelings seem to have been suppressed.

By the way, I have not been diagnosed by a psych, but fellow add-ers recognise a lot in me. Personally, I think I am somewhere between add and hsp.

  31. Dear administrator,
Because of a lot of pressure at work, I get very overstimulated, I come home empty after a day, sometimes I don't get my work done and that in turn makes me insecure. A kind of vicious circle I can't seem to get out of.
I am an hsp-er and suffer severely from pms, do not take hormones or birth control because of a desire to have children.
I have read a lot about LTO3 by now, but nowhere do I find side effects, which sounds to-good-to-be-true!
Are there any side effects if you are hsp? Or is it better to use something else then, like from Orthica use Gaba or something similar?

Can you use this while having a desire to have children? Are there any risks? My GP is not open to alternative medicine so this is difficult to discuss.

Does it have an 'addictive effect'? So once you start taking it, does your body get used to the happy feeling so you have to keep taking it?
Are there any foods better to avoid when taking LTO3, such as sugar?
    Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi: In principle, there are virtually no known side effects with lto3. It has been found, however, that mainly in highly sensitive people in the beginning, some complaints may arise because the body is probably a bit harder to get used to. These do pass quickly. So should that happen, it's best to push through that. You can take lto3 just fine if you want to have children, yes. Lto3 is not addictive but it is of course true that when you stop taking lto3, the effect diminishes. It works for about 8-10 hours a day but it can take several weeks before the effect is optimal. For most people, however, it works well within a few days. You don't get withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking LTO3. The good thing is that you don't have a rebound effect like with Ritalin and Concerta. The rebound effect means that the symptoms temporarily come back very violently after the medicine wears off. It is advised to avoid sugar and milk while taking LTO3, but there are also people who do not experience any disadvantages. On the page above you will also find many answers to frequently asked questions about LTO3.
      Good luck with your choices.
      Greetings Jochem

    2. Hello,

I am also hsper. And just started a new course a few months ago. I thought I was really going crazy with all the stimuli. I started taking lto3. In the beginning, the symptoms were almost double. But I persevered. After my 2nd pot, I felt so good! I forgot to order the pills every time. But after about 5 days, I was almost back to square one. I couldn't see anything and cried tears.

If I were you, I would consider visiting a naturopath. I did. No more pms at all!!!

      Greetings

  32. Hi Jochem, can you drink alcohol while using LTO3 ? I am 40 years old and use LTO3 for my ADD. Thanks and regards, Menno.

  33. My daughter is 12 years old and has asthma and migraines with breakouts. Can she use LTO3 in combination with her medicines?
    Mvg,
    Ina

    1. Hi Ina,
In all the years of lto3 use, there have been no known contraindications with drugs or other substances. That's about 12 years now.
But it is always advisable to check with the doctor.
      Greetings Jochem.

        1. Hi Ina, lto plus appears to be a copy of lto3. Just like ltod3. Just above point 1 in the article I write a bit about it. lto3 appears to be so successful and work well for many people that there are apparently companies trying to copy it. I unfortunately get disappointing emails from several people that they have bought it and it does not work. This probably has to do with the origin and purity of the ingredients. For example, at Kruidvat you have vitamin c jars for 5 euros while elsewhere they cost 20 euros. These are often synthetic substances that are not absorbed by the body at all. So a waste of money. From what I have heard, these copies of lto3 will disappear from the market in the not too distant future because it is not permitted. If you want to make sure you get the Original lto3 from the supplier SmartVital buys you can best order lto3 here. They supply lto3 at the lowest price and provide good aftercare if you have further questions or in finding the right dosage and the like.
          Greetings Jochem.

    1. Hi Greet,

      I specifically checked with Smartvital.

In fact, it is quite simple. While taking LTO3 and for the first hour after, do not take sugar. Then we are talking about white sugar and added sugars among the ingredients of products. Natural sugars, such as in fruit (juice) and honey are okay.
Very many products, such as most types of bread, also contain a very small amount of sugar. There's no need to worry about that because those amounts are so small that they have a negligible negative effect on the absorption of LTO3.

You can have breakfast with all types of bread, with cold cuts, honey, sugar-free apple/pear syrup, sugar-free jam, sugar-free peanut butter, sugar-free sprinkles, sugar-free coconut bread etc. as toppings.

      Greetings Jochem

  34. hello jochem,
i have an 11-year-old son and have been taking medikanet 2x daily for a long time and it just seems like the medication is no longer working for my son, starts concentrating badly at school again and also getting angry more quickly for unnecessary situations. Increasing medication is not possible due to his heart so I was searching the internet for other options but not with chemical junk. i have read all this but wanted to ask you before i order 1, my son also gets growth hormones injected, does the LTO3 not affect the growth hormones.
    greetings lusticia

    1. Hi Luticia,

The information I know and what I have also seen and heard around me is that lto3 never contraindicates with other medicines and natural remedies. But I would still advise you to check with Smartvital. Of course, that can never hurt and they can certainly help you further with it. Good luck with it.
      Greetings Jochem

  35. good afternoon Jochem,
    Been on a course of about 2 years of Dexanfetamine, 3x 1.5 = 22.5grams a day.
Worked an awful lot, long and hard during that period (probably because of the speed I think it contained )
A colleague said the other day that he thought it was incredible how much and hard I worked, I thought it was just weird what he said....
Also almost (and/or probably ) lost my dream woman.I just raced on and on and had no peace and no attention for her. Also, I didn't really experience summer, my favourite season....
I hope to become a better person (for her) again through LTO3.
Been on it for 4 days now , weigh 85 kg , not a gram of fat on my body and take 3pcs at 6.30am in the morning and 3pcs at 7pm in the evening.
I don't feel much of it yet, can anyone tell me what are the main "things" I should feel cq notice first? I could then pay attention to that, it would help me a lot.

    1. Hi Marcel,
      Nice of you to respond.
It is true what you say about Dexamphetamine that it is similar to speed only that people with ADHD/ADD are supposed to be calmed down by it. Since you describe that you raced on for 2 years and everything and everyone passed you by, I wonder if that medication was the right one. Did you ever talk to your psychiatrist about that?
Lto3 can be a good natural option for feeling calmer and more comfortable, among other things.
But I can advise you not to start paying huge attention to it right from day one. This will often only cause you to attribute every little change you experience to what you are taking. (Both positive and negative) Give it some time and let it wash over you. For some people, it takes a few weeks before the effect is optimal. The best thing to do after about 4 weeks is to see how you feel compared to the previous period without thinking about it all the time.
Good luck Marcel and I would love to hear from you in a few weeks if lto3 helped you.
      Greetings Jochem.

  36. I bought LTO3 for the first time yesterday. The packaging of my jar is totally different from the one on this site.
It says LTOD3 from the Puro brand. Hopefully the effect is the same. I paid 36.50? for it at de Rode Pilaren in Goes.
Is it possible that there are different distributors of LTO3?

    1. Hi Hannelore,
I regret to inform you that you have bought the wrong product. It is best to buy LTO3 from the source, which is Smartvital. Their website can be found here. You then 100% definitely buy the good and original product. So no remakes with all the risks that can come with that. The supplier has more than 10 years of experience with LTO3 and knows what they are selling. They can guide you well in finding the right dosage and help you when you have questions.
For now, I can only advise you to try returning the product if you haven't opened it yet.
      Greetings, Jochem.

  37. On another note: a vegetarian does not eat fish. If you do eat fish, then you are not a vegetarian. After all, a fish is also an animal.

    1. Yes, that is also true. But many people who don't eat meat, but do sometimes eat fish, still mostly call themselves vegetarians. Whether that is correct or not is irrelevant here. What matters here is the LTO3. It only contains fish roe and for that you have to be vegan not to consume it. But I think vegetarians and vegans can very well figure that out for themselves. After all, they do that day in and day out with everything they eat and swallow anyway :)
      Greetings, Jochem.

  38. Hello my son has ADHD and PDD-NOS. Have also given lTO 3 in 2013 .
Didn't have that much effect in my opinion.
He was prescribed ritalin and I was put under a bit of pressure. That I was not allowed to make decisions for my child without a psychiatrist.
Stopped taking LTO3 then but am considering trying it again.
Perhaps it is hitting the mark now he is also a few years older now.
    Fri. Yolanda

    1. Hi Yolanda,
It sometimes turns out that it only works well after several weeks. You also have to take it consistently, so not then one day you do, then one day you don't.
I have often heard from people who gave it a second chance that it then suddenly caught on quite quickly. You can try it.
All the best and let's hear how it goes again :)
      Greetings Jochem

  39. On the advice of school, we should have our son tested for ADD. I had not heard of this before and via the internet I am now a lot wiser. My son particularly suffers from concentration problems, insight, reading comprehension, etc. If ADD is diagnosed, drugs like Ritalin or Concerta could be prescribed. As I am not in favour of this, I found out about LTO3 via via. From what I read, this is a perfect solution! I was wondering if I could also try LTO3 as a trial to see if there are any changes. In other words, would it hurt to try it out without having ADD officially diagnosed? I'd love to hear about it!

  40. So if this is such a great remedy, why is it not being picked up by other manufacturers around the world and has that manufacturer in Canada been the only one for so incredibly long? Maybe then the price can also come down one day... And the remedy will be available to everyone and we can all be happy. Right?

    1. Hi Sandra, I understand your reaction but this is what I can say about it.
Lto3 is a very exclusive product made to the highest natural standards. The Canadian company herb e concept likes to keep their quality guaranteed. It's no good if such a product starts being manufactured on a large scale and competition and price wars start. Then you get all the interested parties and that really doesn't benefit the product.
The price for such a product of this high standard is really not extremely expensive. It is a lot of money but comparatively not too much money. In the past, I have bought jars of other supplements with only 60 tablets that cost twice as much, just to give an example. High-quality pure natural products without extra additives are simply more expensive.
I always say, good health can cost something. I myself have started eating much more consciously, this costs more money but is that bad? Everyone wants the biggest TV, an expensive smartphone, a TV subscription, the fastest internet, cake, sweets and so on. But as soon as something healthy costs some money which means you have to leave other habits behind then it can't be done. It's all about making conscious choices but I can guarantee you one thing. Spending more money on your health will benefit you for the rest of your life.

Hope it helps you Sandra. I mean well though :)

Have a nice day. Greetings Jochem

        1. Hi Chris,
Being healthy may be a broad term but I personally see it as feeling good mentally and physically. Lto3 can play a role in that. It costs a bit but if it improves your standard of living it might be worth it. That is a personal choice for one and all. Stress literally gnaws away at your health. Lto3 can bring that calm back into your body and mind a bit, making you move through the day much calmer, more relaxed and with more focus. I spend a lot of my money on healthy food, namely everything organic, but at the same time I avoid all sweets/cookies/chips and soft drinks. So that nicely cancels each other out. Fortunately, not everything has to cost something. I myself benefit a lot from doing twice a day a meditation of 10 to 20 minutes. It costs nothing and personally gives me a lot of energy and a calmer mind, which makes me feel better during the day.
All in all, good health to me is a body and mind that is in balance and with which you can get through the day pleasantly, without all kinds of annoying complaints working against it. Of course, there are all kinds of ways to achieve that. I myself am just not a direct advocate of stimulating medication, but that's up to you :)
          Greetings Jochem.

  41. Does anyone have experience with animals using this drug? Have a Dog who is hugely sensitive to sound. Have ordered a jar, am very curious

    1. Hi Pien, I have no experience with that but am very curious :D So let me know. Can vaguely remember a comment once from someone who gave lto3 to her horse and that it gave hugely positive results. Personally, I don't know anything about it. So I'd love to hear from you what the results are. Greetings Jochem

  42. hi hi,
My sons are both on concerta/medikanet. how do I know if the lto3 is catching on if they are still on the chemical drugs?

    1. Hi Katja, it's hard to say in advance. Most people then gradually phase out the medication while also taking lto3 at the same time. Then you can slowly see the effect. The best thing to do here is to take the supplier of lto3 for consult. You can buy lto3 there and they can guide you through this. They just do that aftercare for free via email contact. I think that works best. Here find Smartvital's website. Good luck! Greetings Jochem.

  43. My nine-year-old son has been using lto3 for two months now. From a busy almost unmanageable little boy, he has turned into a happy little boy who can pre-focus just fine during class. He is a new age child and hypersensitive to stimuli. Thanks to lto3, he is much less bothered by them and he also says he is much happier. It is an expensive product and unfortunately not affordable for everyone. But it could help so many people really fantastic!!!!

  44. Hi, once you start using this, do you 'have' to keep using it? our son is hsp and I read a lot of positive things about lto3 but I assume that if you stop the effect stops immediately? i read on other sites that people use it as a kind of cure but with temporary use, the effect seems temporary to me, right?
    greetings eline

    1. Hi Eline,
Lto3 is not a cure. The people writing that I don't think know what they are doing. There is no cure for hsp or adhd. Lto3 helps the moment you use it but after 8-10 hours the effect disappears. In some people, lto3 works from the very first day but there are also people whose effect is optimal only after several weeks.
      All the best Eline.
      Greetings, Jochem.

  45. I have just turned 65 and, since 1992 (due to a brain haemorrhage), I have been suffering from CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). For the last 10 years, I have been taking RILATINE (2 boxes/week) and this helps me to do my housework a few days a week ( ! ! ! ! ), but on other days I am always tired and unable to do anything.
My big question: would LTO3 'give a big improvement regarding my fatigue ?
Hoping for a favourable response, kind regards.
    Lisette.

    1. Hi Lisette,
That is always a question with any drug. Lto3 can certainly make you a little calmer and more relaxed, which also makes you feel more energetic. It certainly could but I cannot give you any certainty. I advise you to check with the supplier. They will surely be able to help you further. Good luck with it! :) Greetings Jochem

  46. Our 6-year-old son is also going to start this
Can he drink oatmeal milk after that time?
He does not drink regular milk due to lactose allergy

Or do you have to wait 1 hour with oatmeal milk too?

    1. Hi M,
Yes, you can drink lto3 with oatmeal milk and almond milk and the like. In fact, it is the dairy products that are discouraged because this leaves a mucus layer on the intestinal wall. This applies to almost all medications. This mucus layer can negatively affect the optimal absorption of substances. So can fruit juices. But you can use apple sauce, for example. As you are doing it now you are doing it well so.
You can always check with the supplier.
      Greetings Jochem.

  47. Hello,

I heard from my colleague that in addition to the lto3 capsules, it is also good to take magnesium. Do you guys know more about this too?
It is for our daughter v 10 years
    Regards Leonie

    1. Hi Leonie,

Your colleague is definitely right about that!

Magnesium in a very important mineral in your body that supports many processes and it has a relaxing effect. Mainly stress is killing your magnesium levels. But stress is just killing all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in your body.

This is why I always recommend green smoothies to make. Preferably one every day. Precisely because highly sensitive people and people with ADD and ADHD often suffer from chronic stress which burns up these important minerals and vitamins like snow in the sun. Green smoothies replenish that well as well as your magnesium levels. :) For me, they have really made a difference in my overall health and energy!

As an extra, I also take magnesium citrate myself because it is a well absorbed form. You can also find other forms like magnesium oxide but these are not absorbed as well. I am obviously no expert, but this is what I have learned ;)

But remember that it is always best to get your nutrients as much as possible from healthy foods. So really do read up on green smoothies.

      Greetings, Jochem

  48. I read a lot of questions about how to take the LTO3 , our son has been taking the LTO3 for at least 3 years and is responding really well to it !!! He gets 3 in the morning and takes them with optimel drink and then he has breakfast , sometimes if he is in a hurry I put the contents of the capsules through the smoothie I make of fruit/optimel/broken flaxseed . If he has a busy week e.g. a lot of tests, he gets a fourth capsule at about 5/6 o'clock. This natural medication and the good support from school and the youth counsellor who comes to our house one afternoon a week means he is doing quite well at the moment, finally!
Our son is now 14 years old.
    vr.gr. Pieta

  49. Hello

I discovered this website today and have already learned a huge amount.

Ever since my 2 eldest sons were 3 and 4, the doctor told me to have them tested for ADHD.
But I didn't want to put a label on them because they are very active and busy and I had heard a lot of worrying things about rilatin.

With the school also coming up with the suggestion ( one ADD and the other ADHD), I am going to have them tested anyway.
I am thinking about getting myself tested too. i recognise a lot of myself in ADHD and HSP, but first the kids ;-)

I am very happy to hear that there is a natural replacement.
Does anyone know if this drug is reimbursed by the health insurance fund in Belgium?

    regards
    Nele

    1. Hi Nele, good luck with your journey!
For any reimbursement of lto3 in Belgium, I unfortunately cannot tell you anything. In the Netherlands, to my knowledge, lto3 is only reimbursed by one healthcare provider. Namely PNOzorg.
      All the best! Greetings Jochem

  50. Hai,
Does lto3 make sense for my 80-year-old mother.
She is always somewhat gloomy, nervous and fidgety.
She has pills for high blood pressure.

    Greetings

  51. My daughter has a mild form of ADHD and ODD. (That is is behavioural disorder, which involves tantrums, concentration problems, etc.) Do these pills also work for ODD?

    1. Hi Lydia, I can only speak from other people's experiences. I did hear from several people that lto3 helps with ODD too but of course it is different for everyone. You can never say this works for everyone and always. But it is certainly worth trying. LTO3 often gives you peace of mind and more satisfaction. Good luck and let us know how it goes! Greetings Jochem

    2. Hi Lydia,
I just read your post from 2014.
I was wondering if LTO3 has benefited your daughter.
We are facing the same problem here and I want to get off the pharmaceutical drugs (if possible!)

    3. Hi Lydia,
Your post is from a very long time ago, but was still very curious if it works for your daughter and if she still uses it and the quantity? Our 6.5-year-old daughter has the same thing and am looking for a way, remedy what gives her peace of mind.
Would love to hear from you! Thanks in advance!

      Kind regards,
      Chantal

      1. Silly question and silly answer. Since when is a fish not an animal? In other words: of course lto3 is not vegetarian.

    1. Nice to hear your opinion, too, Nicolette. Could it be in a slightly friendlier way next time?
LTO3 contains fish roe from wild herring. These are the eggs of the fish. Vegetarians are allowed that. After all, vegetarians also eat chicken eggs. Only vegans are not allowed because they don't eat anything that comes from animals. So also no eggs and dairy, for example. You are confusing vegetarians and vegans here.

      1. Well it's just how much you want to be treated for adhd anyway... If I were a vegetarian, I would put that aside for a while for my own health, that's my opinion... Exaggerating is also a profession, we humans are just omnivores in the end, that's my opinion. If you don't want to take this medication for principled reasons, I think you will stick with the pharma industry. I read so many positive reactions of the effect of LTO3, I'm going to try it myself. Because I've tried all sorts of things from pharma and those side effects really are the killer. Peace out peeps

  52. started taking LTO3 today, I'm curious to see what it brings. I am 38 and had myself tested for ADD some time ago. I ignored the advice to start with Ritalin and started looking for alternatives. The many positive comments about LTO3 here made me decide to give it a try.
Tricky though because my breakfast always consists of yoghurt or milk with muesli (I can't get anything else down)
Maybe set my alarm earlier to swallow the pills and then wait an hour for breakfast.

  53. Day I have been using LTO3 for 3 months now and have benefited greatly from it, feeling calmer and more cheerful, less difficulty concentrating and much less feeling tense. Because I have fibromyalgia, I notice that my muscles are also less tense; unfortunately the pain has not gone away and for sleeping I still take something supplementary regularly. After years of medication that made me drowsy, this is a world of difference!
My daughter had theory exam last week and took 2 pills hours before and felt super calm and is now also taking lto3 because she also suffers a lot from concentration problems.

  54. Dear all,

On the website, I saw that you should take 2 capsules if you weigh under 45 kg, above that it is recommended 3 capsules before breakfast. However, I also read on other sites to take 3 capsules throughout the day. I also read here that for sleep problems, 2 capsules should be taken some time before sleeping. If you then take 3 in the morning and 2 in the evening, aren't you overdosing? In other words, I am a bit unclear about the dosage. Otherwise, it all sounds very positive and also recognisable!

    1. Hi Jet,

The dosage is indeed 2 or 3 capsules in the morning. Indeed, LTO3 works for about 10 hours throughout the day. The internet is full of the strangest stories. One person says this, another says that, another interprets it differently and so you get Indian stories. So be careful what information you take from anywhere you go.

I have tried my best to describe the above information on lto3 as comprehensively as possible. This information is correct and up to date and all requested directly from the supplier. By the way, they are also always available to answer questions and will help you well with finding the right dosage if necessary. So don't buy and be left out in the cold. I also receive information from people who use their experience with lto3 to me. You will find these here.

I advise you to put your last question to the supplier. To my knowledge, you don't have to worry about overdosing on lto3 if you take another 2 capsules of lto3 in the evening before going to bed. Even though you also took 2 more around 5 o'clock which brings you to a total of 7 lto3 capsules in a day. The supplier of lto3 can be found here. There, you can ask a question via live chat or a contact form.

Incidentally, it is up to you whether you take an extra dose of 2 lto3 capsules at the end of the afternoon. If you like to feel the effect in the evening too, you can do so. If you find it too expensive and not necessary, then just don't do it. For instance, some people skip the weekend and only use lto3 on weekdays during the day. So you can see for yourself what you like best and how you can save money.

Good luck further and let me know how it goes when you start taking lto3! :)

      Greetings Jochem.

  55. Hai Jochem,

What exactly is meant by : It is best not to take LTO3 with dairy products or products to which sugars have been added. Avoid these products for at least one hour after intake as they may slightly interfere with the effect of LTO3?
Does that mean added refined sugars...? Or also agave, maple syrup, Coconut flour sugar and sugars like that...?

    Greetings Ramona

  56. Hi Jochem,

I was diagnosed with ADHD about 3 months ago. I had fallen out with severe burnout and depression. as psychological consultations did not work, referred. I now take 2 pills of Methylphenidate in the morning and in the afternoon and 1 more in the evening. in addition, Escitalopram for the depression 15 mg in the morning.
I would love to try the LTO3 but how should I taper off? and can the antidepressants be tapered off?

    Greetings,
    Franka

    1. Hi Franka, that tapering off is best done slowly. For example, slowly reduce your medication dose while taking lto3. But only after lto3 kicks in properly. This can take up to 4-6 weeks. It is best to consult the supplier consult. They provide very good aftercare after you buy lto3 and guide you through contact with them in finding the right dosage and so on. It is also advisable to inform your doctor. All the best! Greetings Jochem.

    1. Hi Mascha, lto3 can be safely taken by anyone from 3 years of age and there have never been any contraindications with medicines or natural/homeopathic remedies. Good luck with it. Greetings, Jochem.

    2. Hello Mascha,

I just read your post from 2014 and wanted to ask if that de-storing has worked? We started the de-stemming with our daughter 2 months ago.

      Thank you
      Ann

  57. My 5-year-old grandson has Dravet syndrome and takes anti epileptics; Depakine and Frisium.
Has there been any research into whether LTO 3 can be swallowed with this? After all, he also has PDD NOS and ADHD. Otherwise, he will have to be on Retalin.

    1. Hi Astrid, it is well known that in the 10-plus years of using lto3 in Canada, there have never been any contraindications with any other medications or natural remedies. I personally don't think it will be a problem but would still advise you to discuss it with your doctor. All the best! Regards Jochem

  58. I wonder, since the no-taste contains a different fish oil, if the pills work equally well? In other words, is the 'normal' LTO3 better?

    1. Hi Annemarie, sorry for the hugely late response. Hadn't seen it before. Perhaps your question has already been answered. The answer to this question I unfortunately owe you. My feeling is that there is not much difference in the effect of lto3 and lto3 no taste. But if you want to be sure, the best thing to do is to check it out. ask the supplier. I have found that they are always ready to give you good and professional information. Greetings, Jochem.

  59. Hello,

We give our son the LTO3 in the morning and late afternoon with a bite of sugar-free applesauce. Who else knows of other ways to put it in? He does not swallow them without anything. Would like tips as it should not be taken with dairy and/or sugar products.
    Thanks in advance,
    greeting,
    Yola

    1. Hi Yola,
The way you are doing it now seems fine to me. I don't know if it is really that bad when you take the lto3 with milk/sugar products. In theory, the effect may then become a bit less but it might not be that bad. You might want to give that a try. You can also use natural sugars like fruits (juice), honey and Diksap. That's not a problem. Other suggestions I can give you include opening the lto3 and putting it through a meal. For this, it is then best to buy 'lto3 no taste' because the regular lto3 has a very strong taste. Hope this is of some use to you. Greetings Jochem.

      1. Thanks for your reply Jochem. He already gets the No taste. First I mixed the powder with the thick juice, but he got fed up with it. So now it's in tablet form with a bite of apple sauce, which will do for a while, but because he loves porridge (brinta+milk) in the morning, I wondered if it's really not allowed. According to the lto3 supplier, it is not good to take it with milk/sugar products. Hence my doubt and question so my son can keep taking the LTO3 for longer... Thanks again and regards, Yola.

    2. Medication is always not recommended to be taken with milk products! Because this creates a kind of mucus layer around it. Fruit juices are also not recommended. Because of the acids in them.
You could give it in apple sauce or dissolve it in just a little water and let it drink it. You could also try soya custard. This is not a milk product and does have a nice thickness. Good luck Yola! Greetings Femke

    3. I saw in the pharmacy something called 'gloep-weg', or a name similar to it, a kind of jelly in which you can easily take tablets or capsules ribbon in

  60. Question does lto 3 also go with St John's wort?
Am overworked and had been taking lto3 for... almost a year....
May use St John's wort but don't know if t can go together
    Greetings tamara

    1. Hi Tamara, in 10 years of using lto3 in Canada, it has been shown to have no contraindications with medications and other (natural) remedies. You can combine lto3 with St John's wort without any problems but also, for example, use it alongside stimulant medication such as Ritalin or Concerta and taper it slowly.

      Greetings Jochem.

      1. I would like to know whether lto3 can really work after a whiplash, which has greatly reduced my concentration, especially in traffic. Read everywhere that it is used for ADD / ADHD

        1. Hi Ad, I really can't give you an answer to that, unfortunately. I am not a doctor and simply have too little knowledge to say anything meaningful about it. However, more people than just those with ADD or ADHD-related symptoms appear to benefit from LTO3. This is often in the area of concentration and rest. My advice is to just try it out or discuss it with a doctor. Good luck with it. Greetings Jochem.

        2. Dear Ad,
I don't know if you have found something for your concentration problems following whiplash in the meantime.
What may well help for you is APS therapy. APS therapy is a therapy based on microcurrent. Very effective and scientifically proven.
          Kind regards,
          Mariska

  61. We have been using LTO 3 for a month now. My 9-year-old daughter is much calmer now and reads a book quietly more often and can concentrate for a long time, e.g. on colouring. This was not the case before. 1 tablet was not enough in the morning so we have now switched to 2 in the morning and 1 in the evening.

I myself also use it 2 a day now....I have become calmer, but much more chaotic...let's see if it's as good for me?

  62. Hilda, You are right with the exception of that deductible. You don't have that with supplementary insurance. But even then, you're still paying a lot more in premiums than you pay yourself for the LTO3, you're right about that. If it ever comes under basic insurance, you'll be back to the same situation. Then the deductible will count again. Nicely organised in the Netherlands.

  63. My son benefits from using LTO3 and was the reason for me to investigate insurance with PNOzorg. However, he uses 90 capsules at ?36.50 is ?438 a year. The reimbursement depends on the supplementary insurance, of course. But you have to insure so high for this reimbursement plus take an extra high voluntary excess that you end up paying for the capsules all together yourself.
So for my son, no insurance with PNO care!

    1. Regarding reimbursement of LTO3. It is reimbursed from alternative medicines. For the budget supplementary premium, you pay 15 euros more per month (max 18)

For this 15 euros a month, there is a maximum reimbursement of 250 euros for alternative medicine. That means that per year, if you ONLY use the LTO3 reimbursement, you are 250-12*15= 70 euros cheaper than having to pay it all yourself.

If you use the additional supplementary insurance, the difference is smaller, as it costs 15 euros more per month, but only covers 100 euros more within this category. Then you would be 350-12*31= -20, 20 euros more expensive. The same goes for the complete supplementary insurance. On top of that, you would have to buy enough LTO3.

In short, the BEST supplementary insurance you can take with PNO if you ONLY use the LTO3 option is the budget category. Here you can turn things off yourself, (but keep the alternative medicine in it!!!) to make it cheaper.

I still consider a saving of 70 euros a year a saving. In addition, I automatically benefit from the supplementary insurance benefits, should I happen to come across something, which will then be reimbursed.

In short, just do it!!! But be careful which insurance you take and possibly whether you get other benefits from a more expensive supplementary insurance.

Consider things like glasses, contraception, etc.
